Project |08 Jack Redshaw interview

Redshaw looking to next season

MORECAMBE striker Jack Redshaw believes his best days for the club will come next season despite scoring three goals in his last two games.

The Shrimps sit just five points off the Play-Offs with a game in hand on their promotion chasing rivals. However, Redshaw has one eye firmly on next season in what has been a campaign blighted by injury for the 23-year-old.

He told The Score: “Everyone is looking up the table, after the two wins everyone is confident. We struggled to get a win before Saturday (against Southend) and obviously two wins on the bounce gives everybody a big lift. All the lads will be raring to go at Dagenham on Saturday.

“For me personally it’s been a difficult season, the injury setback I had at the start of the season wasn’t nice. It was really hard to take and then coming back you just can’t wait to play again.

“I was playing with adrenaline, just buzzing to be back and then I got another setback once the adrenaline wore off so it’s been a hard season.

“On a personal level, I can’t wait for the season to end so I can have a good pre-season and start a fresh.”
